The Material Girl is obviously no stranger to gigantic performances. Total, she has sold over 300 million records and performed countless concerts, but this might be her most viewed performance yet. More than 162 million people will be tuning in to NBC on Feb. 5 to watch the two remaining NFL teams go head to head. The Super Bowl XLVI will be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Madonna will be joined by amazing performers Cirque du Soleil.

Just two days after her Super Bowl gig, Madonna’s film “W.E.” will hit theaters. She has also been working on a yet untitled album that will hit shelves sometime this year, and the single could drop any day. Stay tuned for more updates on Madonna tickets and her new album.

Her latest venture is a new gym in Mexico City that features her hand-picked choices from mosaic bathroom tile to each of the 20 member staff. She also gave tips for what types of moves the instructors can add in to their dance classes.

Madonna has said that she is using Mexico City for the first gym so that she can fine tune her brand, which means that it could soon be coming to the States. The gym also comes with a hefty fee of about 2,000 pesos a month or about $160 U.S. dollars.

Having worked out in literally hundreds of gyms all over the world, Madonna is using that competitive advantage to create an international chain of fitness centers to be called Hard Candy Fitness. To make the dream a reality, she’s partnered with  her manager Guy Oseary, and New Evolution Ventures, which includes 24 Hour Fitness founder Mark Mastrov.

“Our goal is to create an environment inspired by Madonna’s vision and high standards of what the ideal gym would be. Hard Candy Fitness will be a reflection of Madonna’s point of view and will reflect her input on every detail including music space, light and other design cues. Madonna’s touch will be everywhere,” Mastrov said.

Programs will include private, group and dynamic training with traditional classes such as Zumba, Latin Moves and Cardio Kickboxing, in addition to new programs designed specifically for the chain. Some of the onsite amenities offered are a juice bar/cafe, mind-body studio, and yoga, just to name a few.

The first location is set to open in Mexico City in November with others to follow in Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and all over Europe and Asia.

Her directing debut was 2008’s “Filth and Wisdom,” a story about a Ukrainian cross-dressing punk-rocker.

The movie is scheduled to hit movie theaters sometime in 2011.  It is a romantic drama telling the story of the affair between King Edward VIII and American Wallis Simpson.  The film stars Abbie Cornish, Natalie Dormer, Oscar Isaac and James D’Arcy.

In the accompanying interview, Madonna says she doesn’t know what she’s going to do when it comes time to record her next album because she doesn’t have a record label.

“I haven’t really been focused as much as I should be on the music part of my career because this movie [I Am Because We Are] has just consumed every inch of me. Between that and my four children, I don’t have the time or the energy for anything else,” Madonna told Interview Magazine.

The Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, named after the Raising Malawi charity Madonna founded in 2006, is scheduled to open in 2011, and will be an environmentally-friendly building providing education for more than 500 girls, most of whom are from underprivileged homes. It will be located in Blantyre near the Malawi capital of Lilongwe.

Madonna is using her considerable fundraising clout to supplement this project with efforts to raise money for scholarships and equipment to access the Internet.

Lady Gaga, who took the award home for “Poker Face,” who has been said to “out-Madonna Madonna” regularly, constantly pushing the limits with her music, her  performances, and in her daily fashion.

The comparisons to Madonna are drawn regularly – while Gaga is on the top of the Pop game right now, Madonna Tickets are still a hot commodity. Plus, Madonna says she’s flattered by all the comparisons.

At one point during the performance, Madonna draped herself in an Israeli flag, and while the majority of the audience was Israeli, the Palestinians in attendance were none too pleased.

Blog posts after the show expressed disappointment with her seeming hypocrisy, with some commenting “Madonna-Go Away.” Given the fact that Madonna expressed her happiness about returning to the country after a 16-year absence, she left many puzzled by what is perceived as her political and social misstep.

Madonna, 50, and Jesus Luz, a Brazilian model who is barely old enough to legally buy alcohol, are reportedly taking their relationship to the next level by taking part in a commitment ceremony. The event will be a Kabbalah ceremony headed by a rabbi in New York.

Supposedly, Jesus has already converted from Catholicism to the Kabbalah religion as a mark of his six-month commitment to the Madonna.
