I Am Because We Are
With the upcoming release of her documentary “I Am Because We Are,” Madonna will add producer to her long list of talents: singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer and actress.
“I Am Because We Are” was inspired by her trip to Malawi where she and husband, Guy Ritchie, adopted a Malawi orphan named David Banda. The documentary features the conditions on Malawi, especially poverty of the children there and the AIDS crisis.
The documentary will premiere at the Traverse City Film Festival on August 2. After that, she’s off to jumpstart her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour in Switzerland on August 20.
